The AKD Foundation is dedicated to promoting, preserving, and fostering Indian art, culture, tradition, tourism, and culinary art through a range of creative initiatives, including folk art, literature, poetry, film, music, painting, sculpture, pottery, local and regional crafts, Indian fabric and clothing, and modern art forms, fashion, textile, and design-based programs. The foundation aims to support artists, designers, and artisans by providing a platform for skill development, exhibitions, training, and cultural exchange. It also conducts workshops, seminars, residencies, symposia, biennales, international cultural exchanges, and events that enhance awareness and appreciate of India's rich artistic heritage while supporting innovation in contemporary art and design in India and globally.

Founder
Ajitvar Kumar Douglas, an art historian and philanthropist, has dedicated his life to the arts. His vision in establishing the AKD Foundation was to create a space where artistic innovation could flourish, free from commercial constraints. His leadership continues to inspire our mission.
